  Apply Formula A in thin sections, using foil to separate and staying about 1 inch from the scalp. Apply Fanola Repair Care Reconstruction Masque to the ends of the hair. “After everything was foiled, I reapplied and opened every foil to check on the hair,” Crystal said. Process until you reach a Level 8—Crystal shared that this took about 4 to 5 hours for the entire head. Rinse out section by section.

  Blow-dry, then apply Formula B globally, leaving about 1 inch from the scalp. Use cling wrap to keep the head’s natural heat in. Process for one hour, then repeat this entire step a second time.

  At the bowl, apply the Fanola Repair Care Reconstruction Masque mixed with a little Fanola No Yellow Shampoo. Brush through with the Olivia Garden iBlend brush to ensure total saturation. Process for 20 minutes, then rinse.

  Section the hair into quadrants. Apply Formula C as a shadow root in thin, angled sections. Then, taking horizontal sections, apply Formula D. Use the Olivia Garden iBlend brush to melt the two colors together. “This brush really helped my colors melt and blend together without dragging my base color to my ends,” Crystal shared. Process for 45 minutes, then rinse with cold water, shampoo, blow-dry and style.
