Silky Smooth Blowout

Silky Smooth Blowout

To produce a super polished blowout, your skills need to be A+. Especially when working on naturally textured hair. Thankfully your friends at Olivia Garden have a simple technique you can work into your daily routine, guaranteed to up your blowout game. Ready. Set. Start those blow dryers!

  • 1

Detangle wet hair completely with the Divine Wet Detangler Brush. Let the hair fall into its natural part.

  • 2

Starting at the crown of the head, section the hair using a Double Clip Petite. Then section off at the ears and divide it back into two halves.

  • 3

Starting at the nape, use the EcoCeramic Thermal Firm Bristle Brush and a blow dryer with a nozzle to blow-dry downwards from roots to ends to close the cuticle. Straighten and smooth the hair.

  • 4

It is important to dry both sides of the hair strands to achieve a smooth, straight style. To dry the top side, place the brush below the strand so the blow dryer is on top. To dry the bottom side, keep the brush on top so that the blow dryer comes from below.

  • 5

After drying each section, leave the brush in the hair while it cools and locks-in the shape. Avoid contact between wet and dry hair so the moisture doesn’t re-enter dried hair. Once you start blow-drying, do not stop.

  • 6

When you are finished drying, brush the hair all around with the Ceramic+Ion™ Supreme Combo Paddle Brush to smooth the cuticle and control flyaways while shaping the hair.
