HOW-TO STEPS

    Start by taking a 1-inch vertical section at the front hairline.

    Use a traveling guide and cut vertically to remove 1 inch of length, moving from the front hairline to behind the ear.

    Use a traveling guide and move toward the back, and then move toward the opposite side of the head. Continue removing 1 inch of length.

    Cross-check each section horizontally.

    Taper the nape cutting horizontally and using a scissor-over-comb technique.

    Use the fine-tooth edge of the comb and continue to cut scissor-over-comb by skimming the neckline.

    Next, establish the guideline at the top of the head beginning at the crown. Elevate the hair at a high 45-degree angle and cut vertically to blend the sides and the crown.
