Pastel Pops Of Color + Point-Cut Lob With Extensions

Pastel pops of color and a point-cut lob doesn’t sound like the typical look created with extensions, but that doesn’t mean it’s not possible! We’re breaking the common misconception that applying extensions can only result in longer locks that match your client’s current hue. With the new Pops Of Color from hairtalk® extensions, add soft or bold shades of color quickly and without the typical commitment that fashion colors bring.

HOW-TO STEPS

To start, begin at the nape and work upward, applying and completing the first 3 to 4 rows of extensions using the client’s natural color. Then, when approaching the sides of the head, begin incorporating Pops Of Color.

Apply Pop Of Color SP/613R (Soft Peach) paired with mini plus color 60A on top. Using the client’s natural color creates a very subtle pop.

Next, apply one original extension using the client’s natural color (60A).

Continue this method on this side of the head until complete. Use the desired color from the Pops Of Color line and then alternate adding in an original extension.

Once the first side is complete, move to the other side of the head.

Continue to use different shades from the Pops Of Color line and alternate with the original extension.

Move toward the back of the head to connect both sides.

Once the first row is complete, move up one row and continue steps 2 through 8 for a total pop-of-color effect. Continue moving up the head until reaching the crown area.

Side two, completed.

Once done applying the extensions, point-cut and back-cut the Pops Of Color to the length of the client’s hair.

Continue cutting.

Back-cut for softness until the desired end result or lob cut is created.

Once the cut is complete, style the look with loose waves, braids and a top knot.
