  • 1

To get this soft look, use a 1” barrel curling iron and curl your client’s hair from root to tip. Then, using the same curling iron, create curls on the pony piece so the hair matches overall in texture. Work a paddle brush through the waves to give hair added bounce & body.

  • 2

Sweep hair back into a high ponytail.

  • 3

The top strip of the ponytail includes a Velcro® strip along the entire outside and a 1 ½” Velcro® tab and a three pronged wire comb on the inside.

  • 4

To secure the piece to the ponytail, insert the three pronged comb underneath the rubber band in your client’s ponytail.

  • 5

Now that the three pronged comb is securely placed behind the rubber band, wrap the one side, and then the other side of the top strip underneath the pony tail and press the one end of the Velcro® strip against the other end so that the two Velcro® ends securely connect.

  • 6

With the Velcro connection securely made, wrap the long strip of hair around the base of the pony tail.

  • 7

Continue wrapping the long strip of hair until it is completely wrapped around the ponytail base.

  • 8

    Secure with hairpins.

  • 9

First, open all three pressure-sensitive clips on the inside of the piece.

  • 10

Slip the two clips along the front rim into the hair at the front of the hairline, making sure to catch the hair in both clips.

  • 11

Snap both clips shut by applying pressure on with your thumbs. Styling note: When both clips are securely closed, run your fingers along the front of the piece to make sure it lies flat against the front hairline. If there are any gaps, correct this by snapping the clip(s) open, and repositioning the piece so that the bangs lie flat.

  • 12

Once the two front clips are properly placed and securely closed, gently pull the top of the bang back, slip the third clip into the hair at the top of the crown.

  • 13

Snap shut comb or brush bangs to seamlessly blend with rest of the hair.
