Before

Starting in the front with a closed #2 guard, remove the excess length up to the parietal ridge. Repeat on the other side of the head.

Pro Tip: Use a brush throughout to maintain a consistent distribution while working up the head.

Switch to a closed #1 guard and, beginning on the side, fade into the #2 length.

At the front hairline, switch to a trimmer and work vertically up, creating a curved diagonal back weight line. Continue this step until the center back is reached and then repeat on the other side.

Switch to an open 0 guard and blend ½ an inch up the weight line. Then, repeat on the other side of the head until the center back is reached.

Then, switch to a closed #1/16 guard and blend ½ an inch above the previous weight line.

Open the #1/16 guard and and continue blending to the low recession.

Switch to a closed 0 guard and, moving one notch to half open, blend out the weight line.

Continue working around the head to blend from one notch to half open.

Scissor over comb to blend the hair into the preexisting length up top.

Then, switch to the shaver attachment to achieve that skin to fade blend.

Switch to a closed clipper, stretch the skin taut for a consistent distribution of the hair and blend out the weight line using shallow movements. Work the corner of the clipper vertically up and down and in soft circular motions to buff out any harsh lines.

Use a pick to shape the hair up top, creating an even distribution.

Then, using scissors and the pick, clean up and detail the shape of the hair on top.

Apply TIGI® Bed Head For Men Lion Tamer™ Beard & Hair Balm, then work a sponge throughout the hair in circular motions to create separation and texture.
