Starting in the front with a closed #2 guard, remove the excess length up to the parietal ridge. Repeat on the other side of the head.
Pro Tip: Use a brush throughout to maintain a consistent distribution while working up the head.

At the front hairline, switch to a trimmer and work vertically up, creating a curved diagonal back weight line. Continue this step until the center back is reached and then repeat on the other side.

Then, switch to a closed #1/16 guard and blend ½ an inch above the previous weight line.

Switch to a closed 0 guard and, moving one notch to half open, blend out the weight line.

Switch to a closed clipper, stretch the skin taut for a consistent distribution of the hair and blend out the weight line using shallow movements. Work the corner of the clipper vertically up and down and in soft circular motions to buff out any harsh lines.
