Wella Professionals Celebrates Black History Month With Scholarship Contest

Wella Professionals is celebrating Black History Month with a scholarship contest open to licensed Black hairstylists. Five winners will receive a scholarship to the Wella Professionals education course of their choice.

• You can enter yourself or someone else by posting a relevant picture or video by February 28 (a nominee can be you, your hairstylist or a colleague) 
  

   

• Tag and mention @WellaHairUSA in your image and caption
  

   

• Use #WellaBlackStylistScholarship in your caption

The disparities in resources and opportunity have historically put Black stylists at a disadvantage in the beauty industry. With this knowledge, Wella Professionals will fund scholarships for its Color Craft series or Cut Craft course, in efforts to support artist education.

Completion of the Color Craft series will fast-track stylists to Wella Professionals’ Master Color Expert (MCE) program, and for stylists who may prefer cut over color, winning hairdressers can opt for Stephen Moody’s Virtual Cut Craft course.
