BREAKING NEWS! 2016 Wella TrendVision Winners Announced!

In a weekend full of education, inspiration and celebration in Barcelona, Spain, one thing was clear: the heart of hairdressing is more alive than ever! And for the team at Wella Professionals, it opened a new chapter in their beauty book, as they now lead the new brands as part of Coty Professional Beauty.

Thousands of Wella customers, artists and educators traveled to Barcelona to celebrate not only this new chapter, but to also cheer on their country’s finalists in one of the world’s most prestigious hair competitions—The International TrendVision Awards.

The awards program was narrowed down from 5,000 worldwide entries, and 81 national teams won the chance to compete at the international awards. There, they had three hours to complete their look LIVE in front of the attendees and judges for their chance to take home the grand prize in two categories: COLOR VISION and CREATIVE VISION.

COLOR VISION recognized the best in class for color work with a focus on beautiful, wearable and inspiring looks. The judges included Global Creative Director of Care & Styling Eugene Souleiman, Global Creative Artist France Christophe Nicolas Biot, Global Creative Artist Australia & New Zealand Renya Xydis, Creative Director Japan Chie Yamada and Beauty Editor of Woman Madame Figaro OlgaTari.

CREATIVE VISION gave finalists the freedom to express their creativity with either a cut and finish or style with an editorial catwalk feel. The judges included Global Creative Director of Color Josh Wood, Global Creative Artist Germany Petra Brockmann, Top Artist Brazil Renato Fuzz, Top Artist USA Alexandra Matiz and Tribute Magazine Owner Mike Vincent.

The attendees at ITVA, along with those watching the live webcast, also got in on the voting by choosing a PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD, honoring the fan favorites from the competition. And finally, the evening also brought the reveal of the 2017/2018 Spring/Summer Collection and Autumn/Winter Trend Collections. Now check out the complete list of 2016 ITVA winners below!
