Braided Bob

When it comes to her hair, she wants options! This retro, 1920s-inspired faux bob gives your client the best of both worlds. Created using a braided technique and without cutting an inch of hair, this short, chic style is full of texture and zero commitment. Here’s how Michael Shaun Corby, Living Proof Global Creative Director, made it happen.

HOW-TO STEPS

1

Start with hair that has been curled and sprayed with Full Dry Volume Blast. Then section out the crown and separate for later.

2

Divide the remaining hair into two sections from the center of the crown, then braid each section.

3

Pull a few strands and push the braid up.

4

Cross one braid across the back of the head and secure with bobby pins.

5

Repeat step 4 with the remaining braid.

6

Let down the crown sections and apply Full Dry Volume Blast while pinching the ends of the hair.

7

Tuck some ends of the hair from the crown into the braid and secure with bobby pins.
