Like the gleaming gold panels used as accents on runway fashions, this dramatic Inlaid Brunette technique from Redken makes dark haircolor come alive with light. Meant to mimic the effect of light reflecting off the hair, these warm-gold panels create a stunning, high-shine halo effect.

    Sectioning
    1. Create two asymmetric, V-shaped sections on the top of the head.
    2. Begin on the right side. Place the point of the V towards the right eye and 1” from the front hairline. The right leg of the V should be 1 ½” wide and the left leg 1” wide. Isolate the legs separately.
    3. Create an identical V on the left, place the point of the second V toward the left ear and isolate as before.

    Step 2
Begin on the left side. Take a ¼” slice from the base of the wide leg of the V, apply Highlight Formula 1 to Zones 2 and 3, the mid-shaft and ends. Softly blur the formula into Zone 1 the scalp area. Continue to take ¼” fine section, directing hair to the same foil and apply using the same method until complete. Cover with foil.
Move to the thinner leg of the V, continue applying in the same manner using Highlight Formula 2.
Repeat this application technique in the V section on the right side.
Process at room temperature for 35-45 min. Rinse and shampoo with Extreme. Blast dry hair.

    Step 3
Apply Glaze Formula in a global application and process at room temperature for 20 minutes. Rinse and shampoo with Color Extend. Follow with the appropriate Redken Chemistry Shot Phase and Shot Phix.
