Dampen the midlengths and ends and apply Formula C using deep zigzag partings as you work up the head, starting at the nape. Alternate applying Formula D to create subtle dimension.

 

“Deep zigzags will help create the illusion of beautiful, blended color,” Lesley explains. “I don’t want any colors to scream out, everything wants to sit and be mellow against each other.”

Who is the ideal candidate for a muted bronze?

A soft, muted bronze is a very versatile color: “Switching up the palette can really change the outcome. Go for complementary tones for a natural feel or contrasting tones for impact,” Lesley shares. 

 

For this client, Lesley wanted to cover grays, bump the base and deposit tone in one hybrid application. To do so, she used Schwarzkopf Professional® IGORA® ZERO AMM Permanent Color on the roots, with Schwarzkopf Professional® IGORA VIBRANCE® Demi-Permanent Color on the mids and ends.
