Zak Mascolo and the TONI&GUY Artistic Team present “Britni,”a buttercream blonde, from their latest Reflective collection. Pivoting zigzags are used to achieve diffused color by root shading and block coloring within each zigzag section. *Note – model has been previously lightened with TIGI Modern lightener with 20vol Formula. Pale Wheat: TIGI COLOUR® Radiant Gloss ¾ 9/73, ¼ 0/02 with 8.5 vol.
Old Lilac: TIGI COLOUR® Radiant Gloss 0/02 with 8.5 vol.
Butter: TIGI COLOUR® Radiant Gloss 0/03 with 8.5 vol.

Root Shade Pale Wheat Block color zigzag sections alternating Pale Wheat, Old Lilac and Butter.

Begin technique by root shading globally with Pale Wheat.

Establish an offset triangle section by taking a diagonal forward parting from the top crown to high recession and another diagonal forward parting from the top crown to the ear on the opposite side.

Take the first zigzag parting from the top crown to the center nape.

Continue with pivoting zigzag sections approx. ½ inch to 1 inch in width, pivoting from the top crown.

Block color the zigzag section with Old Lilac overlapping the root shade through to lengths and ends smudging to blend. (Subdivide section for control if needed and isolate each section with meche).

Continue taking pivoting zigzags from the top crown working through to the side until triangle section is reached; alternating three shades Pale wheat, Old lilac, and Butter.

Repeat the technique on opposite side.

Now begin taking pivoting zigzags in the offset triangle section, continue to pivot from the top crown.

Take larger pivoting zigzags in triangle (approx 3 total). Continue method of block coloring each zigzag section alternating all three shades. Overlap root shade through to lengths and ends.
