Foil and continue with a bricklay diagonal back pattern in the back. Mix a fresh batch of Formula A every 10 minutes.
Take about 1/8-inch diagonal back partings on the front and sides: backcomb and paint on Formula A, again focusing on ends to create an ombré feel. Repeat on the opposite side.
For face-framing color, section out a triangular section according to natural parting, backcomb slightly and paint Formula A on a diagonal to create a seamless highlight in the front.

Blended Balayage
Every stylist KNOWS the value of a solid client consultation, and Jonah Crescencio @jonahrunswithscissors of Kut Haus Salon in Covina, CA asked the perfect questions to determine the on-point color that would fit his client’s lifestyle.
“Originally our inspiration for her hair was an ashy gray balayage. She brought in gorgeous silvers, grays and pastels, but after the consultation, we both agreed on a lower maintenance ash blonde as opposed to a complete gray balayage. She trusted in me and my honest professional opinion,” Jonah explained. Within two sessions and with keeping his client’s #hairgoals in mind, Jonah beautifully balayaged while maintaining healthy hair.

The Price is Right
While consulting with clients, Jonah said he is very honest about pricing, maintenance, and how many sessions it may take to achieve his client’s final look. He charged $185 per session and each session was four weeks apart. Keeping the integrity of the hair was vital (“Her hair still feels amazing!”) Jonah was able to achieve a Level 8 from a virgin Level 3 in the first session, and hit the Level 9 in the second session.
