How-To: Faux Fringe

close formula

Bangs or no bangs—that is the question. And we’ve got the answer you’ve been searching for…faux fringe! Now she can rock bangs without the long-term commitment with this faux bang how-to from Moroccanoil’s Kevin Hughes. Here’s how it’s done.

How-To
1. Prep hair with Moroccanoil® Treatment Light and Root Boost. Then, create a horizontal part line from ear to ear, creating two sections of hair: one on the top and one on the bottom.

2. Use an elastic to secure the back section into a high ponytail.

3. Then, use a boar bristle teasing brush to direct the hair in the front section toward the ponytail and combine both ponytails together. Secure with an elastic.

4. Divide the ponytail in half and create a knot with that section, using bobby pins to secure.

5. Then, adjust the hair length to create the desired framing effect, and wisp the back ponytail around the knot, using pins to secure.

6. Adjust the length of the fringe as needed to fully frame the face. Finish the style with Moroccanoil® Luminous Hairspray Strong.
