Behind The Hair: Neon Space Wigs At Jeremy Scott FW18
The Jeremy Scott FW18 runway took us on a trip…to outer space. The collection featured funky pops of colors and various vibrant fabrics—it was quintessential Jeremy Scott to say the least. The BTC gals were living our best lives backstage (snapping selfies with supermodels and hanging with top stylists, how could we not be?!) and we’re still obsessing over these neon geometric wigs created by Wella Professionals Global Creative Director Eugene Souleiman.

Jeremy and Eugene collaborated together for the look, taking inspiration from past generations and blending them with futuristic sci-fi flicks like “The Fifth Element.” The end result? Bob-cut wigs in colors like electric yellow, tangerine, lilac, pink, green and turquoise.
“It is quite space-age and very Jeremy Scott. There’s a strong synthetic feeling running through Jeremy’s collection so we are taking that and very much running with it,” said Eugene. Backstage, he added, “It’s completely unnatural and I love it. I chose the bob for a certain reason—it’s a very space-like haircut, it’s pure, sharp and super vibrant.” Keep scrolling for more deets on the futuristic style!

Watch The Backstage Action:
We’re taking you behind the scenes at one of Fashion Week’s coolest shows. Watch Eugene partially cut the wigs before the show, and then trim the length and fringe to each model’s head backstage.
“This color spectrum is normally associated with loose, undone styles, but this look is sharp and geometric,” said Eugene. “There is no layering, no softness whatsoever. They’re really graphic—they look illustrative and cartoony.”
