HOW-TO STEPS

1Section the hair into three triangles on the top of the head and clip away.

2Isolate a small, curved section behind the ear and apply Formula A.

3The, isolate a horizontal section above the ear and apply Formula A.

4Continue working in this area and isolate these sections with foils.

5Then, taking diagonal-forward slices in the first triangle at the top of the head, apply Formula A from roots through to the ends and isolate in foils.

6Repeat this color application in the other two triangles. Process until the hair reaches a Level 9.

7Continue steps 5 and 6.

8Check hair periodically until achieving a Level 9.

9While the lightener processes, apply Formula B from roots to ends on all hair that was not prelightened.

10On the prelightened sections, apply Formula C from the roots to the midshaft. Then, blend Formula D at the midshaft and melt the color down through to the ends.

11Continue this technique on the prelightened hair. Process, then rinse, shampoo and condition the hair. Blow-dry to prep for styling.

12Apply a rich amount of CHI Silk Infusion through the hair for shine and protection.

13Spray hair with CHI Enviro Natural Hold Hairspray before styling.

14Then, use the Dura CHI 1-Inch Ceramic Curling Iron from the roots to the midshaft. Start in the nape area, working with horizontal sections.

15Then, use the CHI Ellipse Wand from the midshaft to the ends and let the curls cool down in natural fall. Follow the same technique on the rest of the head.

16Then, apply another round of CHI Silk Infusion and massage it through the hair.

17Comb the hair with a large-tooth comb for a smooth and wavy end result.

18Finish the look with CHI Shine Infusion.
