So we asked Mickey Colón (@mickeycolonjr) how exactly he took his client (@delgashley) from a natural Level 6 to this stunning silver metallic. Here’s everything you need to know!

    Wella Professionals BLONDOR + 20-volume developer + Olaplex No.1

  • Formula B

    1 oz. Wella Professionals Koleston Perfect Innosense 9/8/ + 2 oz. Wella Professionals Koleston Perfect Pastel Developer + Olaplex No.1

  • Formula C

    2 oz. Wella Professionals Koleston Perfect Innosense 10/8/ + 4 oz. Wella Professionals Koleston Perfect Pastel Developer + Olaplex No.1

  • Formula D

    Pulp Riot Mercury (two tubes)

HOW-TO STEPS

  • 1

    Beginning 2 inches from the roots, apply Formula A to small panels using Colortrak Balayage Haircoloring Film, starting in the nape. Process for 35 minutes.

    After 35 minutes, apply Formula A to the roots, for a total processing time of 50 minutes.

  • 3

    Rinse and shampoo using R+Co SUNSET BLVD, then apply Formula B to the roots and Formula C ​to the rest of the hair. Process for 5 to 10 minutes.

    Note: Don’t be alarmed if the hair starts turning blue—this will enhance the silver look!

    Rinse, then rough-dry the hair and apply Formula D all over (this is what will really make the silver pop). Process for 20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with cold water.

  • 5

    Apply Olaplex No.2, and process for 20 minutes. Rinse with cold water and then apply conditioner only.

  • 6

    Style with R+Co Tinsel Soothing Oil and R+Co High Dive Moisture Shine Crème, then finish with R+Co Outer Space Flexible Hairspray.
