To set the canvas, pre-slate with Formula A and process for 15 minutes.
Step 1: After cleansing with Keratin Complex Blondeshell Debrass & Brighten Shampoo, carve asymmetrical triangular sections throughout the head; follow the pattern shown in the diagram. This will help eliminated a hard line yet keep a strong color flow.
Step 2: Paint sections 1 from scalp to ends with Formula B. Isolate with foils.
In sections 2, apply Formula C from scalp to mid-length and then marry Formula D to the ends, using a feathering technique to blend the shades. Isolate with foils.
Tip: To maintain the more vibrant shade without blending in too much of the deeper, paint the lighter shade (Formula C) first, then lightly diffuse the darker shade (Formula D).

Prismatic Aurora by Keratin Complex
When it comes to haircolor, inspiration can be found in the most unique places. A stained glass window, for example, reflects light in a million different shades, creating endless prisms of color. Another example? Look outside. When we’re not rushing through life and take a moment to stop and look, we see an endless cascade of colors surrounding us. Color illuminates our lives—it elicits emotions that can range from happiness to sadness, wonder to confusion, excitement to worry.
When creating the 2014 Prismatic Collection, Keratin Complex’s Internatoinal Artistic Director for Color Therapy, Deb Gavin, found her inspiration within nature, marrying that inspiration with the concept of color in a prism. She took what she saw around her and condensed it into a kaleidoscope. What she got was this Prismatic Aurora, incorporating many techniques and colors to create a multi-tonal, vivid finished look.
“We wanted to bring out the brilliant color in the hair through light and movement. Warm sits next to cool, vibrant sits next to muted and it all works harmoniously,” says Deb. “The viewer’s eye acts as the prism, splitting the light and picking out myriad hues within the hair.”
