Keratherapy Extreme and Intense Renewal Smoothing Treatments
Section the hair into three parts.
Cleanse the client’s hair with Keratherapy Clean Start Pre-Treatment Shampoo to remove impurities and open the cuticle. Rinse and repeat, then rinse thoroughly.
If using directly after a color or highlighting service, cleanse the hair gently with Keratherapy Moisture or Volume Shampoo instead of Keratherapy Clean Start Pre-Treatment Shampoo.
Detangle the hair with a wide-tooth comb. Do not blow-dry the hair!

Using a fine-tooth comb, remove excess solution by combing the hair from roots to ends away from the face. Continue this process over the entire head to ensure the product is evenly distributed. For thick, resistant hair, cover with a plastic cap and place under a medium heat hood dryer for 10 to 15 minutes before blow-drying. This helps to ensure better penetration of the renewal formula.

Blow-dry the hair straight with medium heat and a Keratherapy Square Ceramic Brush or Keratherapy Vent Brush until the hair is completely dry. Prior to flat ironing the hair, it is extremely important to choose the appropriate heat setting.

-
2
Cleanse the client’s hair with Keratherapy Clean Start Pre-Treatment Shampoo to remove impurities and open the cuticle. Rinse and repeat, then rinse thoroughly.

-
3 Towel-dry the hair to remove excess moisture.
-
4
Detangle the hair with a wide-tooth comb. Do not blow-dry the hair!
-
5 Start by pouring one ounce of Keratherapy Intense or Extreme Renewal into a tinting bowl. You can use more or less product depending on the hair texture and type.
-
6 Starting at the nape of the neck area, take ¼- to ½-inch sections and apply the respective Keratherapy Renewal formula from roots to ends with a tint brush.
-
7 Massage the treatment into each section of the hair to ensure proper penetration. Do not apply directly to the scalp and do not oversaturate the hair.

10 Part the hair into 3 large sections. Using a Keratherapy Titanium Flat Iron, begin at the nape of the neck area. Take ¼- to ½-inch sections and begin ironing the hair slowly to thoroughly seal the keratin into the hair.
-
11 Continue this process on each section until you see the hair become shiny so you can move to next section. Repeat until all sections have been flat ironed and smoothed.
-
12 Wait 48 hours before shampooing at home with Keratherapy Shampoo and Conditioner. For optimal results, continue using Keratherapy Keratin Infused after care products sold exclusively in professional salons.
