What is a Detoxifying Service?
“Detox” services are all the rage in skincare and health right now (can you even pass a corner without seeing a juice bar?!), so market this unique services to your guest as a reset for their blonde locks. Put together a multi-step, in-salon treatment plan that clarifies, treats and protects. For example, Schwarzkopf Professional’s new BLONDME® Detoxifying System is a three-step, in-salon treatment (with a take-home retail component) that helps restore shine and hydration and gets rid of hard water minerals and other impurities that can cause blonde hair to become dull or brassy.
How To Perform Detoxifying Hair Service
The beauty of this service is that you can add it on to your clients’ existing color refresh appointment—OR, if she wants to wait a longer period between color appointments, you can get her BACK in your chair with a stand-alone detox appointment.
“When doing quick color services, such as re-growth or face framing, always combine them with the BLONDME Detoxifying System in-salon service to ensure overall refreshed and revitalized blonde color results,” says Schwarzkopf Professional Global Color Ambassador Lesley Jennison (@lesleyjennison). Genius! Here are the steps:
1. After finishing your lightening service (OR for a standalone appointment, to start the service), shampoo the client using BLONDME® Detoxifying System Purifying Bonding Shampoo. Allow the product to sit for one minute after cleansing and rinse thoroughly.
2. Mix one sachet of BLONDME® Detoxifying System Shot with 25g of BLONDME® Keratin Restore Bonding Mask and apply to the hair section-by-section. Allow mask to sit for 10-20 mins and rinse.
3. Before styling, prep damp hair with the BLONDME® Detoxifying System Bi-Phase Bonding and Protecting Spray to nourish and protect the hair. (Bonus: You can build the price of this product into your service and send your client home with it, or sell it as a traditional retail item. It’s up to you!)
Why A Detox System Works
The three-step system starts with the shampoo that removes outer layer impurities and mineral build-up. Next, the Detoxifying System Shot sweeps away even more residue thanks to Vitamin C, plus it’s mixed with the BLONDME® Keratin Restore Bonding Mask for an extra oomph of hair-healthy treatment. Finally, finishing with the spray creates a hydrophobic film that seals the hair to prevent environmental aggressors from getting in.
