TIGI Welcomes Andrew Fitzsimons As New Brand Ambassador
We must confess—we’ve been keeping a little secret here at The BTC House. Back in October, the squad at TIGI© Copyright spent two days filming a top-secret project at our LA headquarters and BTC got the exclusive sneak peek—we also heard a super exciting secret that we can’t wait to share! Scroll to learn what went down!
OK, OK we can’t hold in the secret anymore! TIGI© has a new Brand Ambassador! Celebrity stylist Andrew Fitzsimons (@andrewfitzsimons) will be professionally exclusive to the TIGI© Copyright family starting in January of 2020. To announce his new role, Andrew and the TIGI© Copyright team were on site to film his segment for the “You Can Always Start Over” campaign, a special project that highlights a client’s personal story through the power of transformation.
Known for his glam upstyles and snatched ponies, Andrew has worked with celebrities such as Khloe Kardashian, Adriana Lima and Karlie Kloss. He is also no stranger to power of transformation, known for his looks created with wigs and extensions, and as the Founder of the Trans Cosmetic Donation Program at the Trans Wellness Center. “Being able to help people with their physical identity can sometimes impact their inner identity,” shared Andrew at the TIGI® Academy in SoHo, where the news of his new role was officially announced.
“Transformation doesn’t only exist in the physical world, in relation to beauty,” he added. “It’s also internal. I have had a lot of transformations on how I view other people, learning more about other people and learning to support them more.”
As the Founder of the Trans Cosmetic Donation Program at the Trans Wellness Center, where people are encouraged to donate unused beauty products to those in need, the trans community and LGBT rights are a cause that is close to Andrew’s heart. To show his appreciation, love and support for the community, Andrew reached out to the Los Angeles Trans Wellness Center for his “You Can Always Start Over” campaign shoot. When the Manager of Health Services, Mariana was asked to be a part of the shoot, she was overcome with emotion.
“This makeover is such a perfect way to say thank you,” Andrew explained. “The Trans Wellness Center does so much for the community and I just wanted to find a way to celebrate their great work.”
TIGI© U.S. Technical Education Director Renee Valerie (@renee.valerie) was also part of the collab, creating a rich and dimensional color for Mariana’s makeover. “The whole reason I do hair is because we are truly powerful in the positivity we can bring into people’s lives,” Renee explained. “Being able to develop more of a connection with Mariana over the few days of shooting made the experience so much more important to me.
