John Paul Mitchell Systems Promotes Jason Yates to Chief Operating Officer

John Paul Mitchell Systems® just announced the promotion of Jason Yates to Chief Operating Officer. Jason joined JPMS five years ago as Vice President of Marketing, where he led the marketing strategy for all brands under the JPMS corporate umbrella. Within two years, he had absorbed the role of Vice President of Sales as well, becoming the first-ever Vice President of Sales and Marketing at JPMS. Under his supervision the company saw rapid expansion in product development and market penetration, resulting in strong sales growth annually.

Jason brings extensive experience and expertise to the COO position. He began his career 25 years ago as a hairdresser in the UK and worked his way up from salon apprentice to manager, quickly becoming the managing director for a chain of 22 salons. During that time he also worked as a platform artist and an educator for a haircare manufacturer, exposing him to the business side of the industry and opening a career path beyond the salon. As a licensed hairdresser and industry expert, Jason continues to shape the future of the professional beauty industry today.
