This has to be the true meaning of Fantasy Football—right?

Ciara stepped onto the 2021 Met Gala carpet sporting the number three for her NFL star hubby—or maybe for the number of wigs she was wearing!? Celebrity hair stylist César DeLeön Ramîrez (@cesar4styles) shares how he custom colored three wigs for this stunning ponytail inspired by the electric coloring of Ciara’s gown.

“I was inspired by the dress to try a new hair color we have never worn before. I started prepping by coloring three wigs with beautiful light golden, cinnamon brown colors from Paul Mitchell,” says César. Read below for the full details and tips on how to recreate this larger-than-life pony that was red carpet-worthy.

HOW-TO STEPS

1
Start by center parting and smoothing out one wig using Paul Mitchell Straight Works Hair Gel with a few drops of  Super Skinny Serum.
2
Leaving the center part, brush everything into a low pony and secure it—leave out wispy strands around the face to come back to later.
3
Next, diffuse the two other wigs using Paul Mitchell Sculpting Foam and Round Trip Curl Defining Serum to get full, bouncy curls with volume.
4
Once dried, go through and create added extra texture using Paul Mitchell Pro Tools Express Ion Curling WandExpress Ion Wave Press and Express Ion MiniWave Ceramic Deep Waver.
5

To finish, go back to the wispy pieces Ieft out around the face and use a waver tool or curling iron to add texture. Set everything with a full blast of Paul Mitchell Extra Body Finishing Spray and the jaw-dropping ponytail is complete.
