What are the categories?

Whether you prefer painting silver foxes or bright neons as a student, educator or seasoned stylist, there’s a place in this contest for you. Check out the categories:

• Best in Blonding (#BESTPMBLONDE)
• Best Graceful Gray (#BESTPMGRAY) 
• Best Color of the Year (#BESTPMCOLOR) 
• Best Educator (#BESTPMEDUCATOR)
• Best Student (#BESTPMNEXTGEN)

The best part: Colorists can enter as many times as they want in as many categories as they want for a chance to win.

How can artists enter?

Feeling inspired? Beginning on January 3, 2023, professional colorists can enter their best work either on Instagram or via ViralSweep for a chance to win prices valued at over $2,500 USD—including $1,200 USD cash and a framed NFT. All artists have to do is simply post their work with the hashtag #PAULMITCHELLCOLOR and the category-specific hashtag in the caption.

The contest officially closes February 15, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. PST. Grand prize winners will be announced live on Instagram March 6, 2023.

Entering Color Outside The Lines doesn’t just offer artists a chance to win some serious prizes. Contestants will also have their work judged by some of the industry’s finest talents.
