close formula

The Khaleesi halo braid. A chic style she can rock to dinner and drinks while also doubling as the final touch to her costume of choice this Halloween. We’ve got the steps below for this “Game of Thrones”-inspired braid from Kadus Professional Design Team Member Shelby George, so you can help all the Khaleesis in your chair get into character. HOW-TO STEPS

  • 1

Create a 1-inch Mohawk parting from the crown to the front hairline.

  • 2

French or Dutch braid the hair from the crown to the hairline.

  • 3

Upon reaching the hairline, part the unbraided hair into two sections and clip one side out of the way.

  • 4

Take the other section of unbraided hair at the crown and French or Dutch braid a 1-inch wide, curved section, ending behind the starting point of the original braid at the crown.

  • 5

Repeat step 4 with the other clipped-off section on the other side of the head.

  • 6

Once you reach the other braid behind the crown of the head, join the two sections together and braid to the end.

  • 7

Style the unbraided hair as desired. Shelby crimped the hair from the roots to a few inches down and then curled the ends.
