HOW-TO STEPS

    1 Section out the top working area.

    2 Create an outline by combing the hair straight down and cutting to create a strong line.

    3 Starting in the back, layer the back and sides using overdirection to preserve length in the front.

    4 Using the sides and back as a guide, blend into the top working area to preserve the length.

    5 Use clippers to clean up the hair line.
