NYFW Runway Hair Embraces Texture and Movement

For LoveShackFancy’s Fall/Winter 2025 Collection, the brand’s signature romantic aesthetic was reflected not only in the designs but also in the hair.

Lead hairstylist Brent Lawler (@brentlawler) described the hair look, saying, “At the LoveShackFancy show, we aimed for a natural, effortless style—big, voluminous and textured. The goal was to create waves with movement as if shaped by the wind. We kept the look light and fluid, avoiding overly structured or traditional polished styles. Instead, the focus was on modern volume with a spontaneous, lived-in feel.”

How Brent Lawler Created the Runway Look:

• Step 1: Wash hair with Ouidad Shampoo and Conditioner, then detangle using the WetBrush® Original Detangler.
• Step 2: Let hair air-dry most of the way.
• Step 3: Apply Ouidad Advanced Climate Control Feather Light Volumizing Foam from roots to ends to enhance natural texture.
• Step 4: Part the hair, clip sections away with a GOODY Hair Clip and use a GOODY Round Brush to smooth any tighter curls.
• Step 5: Use the Bio Ionic® SMART-X Dryer with a diffuser attachment to dry hair.
• Step 6: Once fully dry, touch up or add additional texture with the Bio Ionic® 10X Curling Iron.
• Step 7: Apply Ouidad VitaCurl+ Leave-In Styling Serum to the ends to reduce frizz, then finish with a hairspray or dry shampoo for hold and texture.
