Master This Faux Bob Technique From @hairbyadir
The bob haircut is having a serious moment, so how can you keep your long-haired clients on-trend without the commitment of chopping it all off? Celebrity stylist, red carpet icon and Virtue®️ Creative Director Adir Abergel (@hairbyadir) is breaking down exactly how to create a faux bob in five simple steps. Scroll through and master his technique, then go and work some styling magic behind the chair!
Create volume and movement around the face frame by curling two sections at the hairline and pinning at the base, then allow to cool.
Then, take a 3-inch horizontal section at the nape and clip the rest of the hair away. Create a 3-strand braid and tie off with an elastic, wrap it around your fingers, roll and pin at the base—this will be the anchor for the faux bob.
Then, release the top section and curl set. Backcomb the hair at the root, apply Virtue®️ Finale Finishing Spray and create a deep side part.
Gather the hair into a low ponytail and secure with an elastic. Wrap the ponytail around your fingers, continuing to roll and tuck the hair underneath and connect to the anchor braid with hair pins. Apply Virtue®️ Finale Finishing Spray.
For the finished look, Adir embellished the look with handmade flowers by Rachel Black Millinery!
