  Remove as much moisture as possible with a towel.

  Apply Kenra Professional Platinum Air Dry Crème 6, use a quarter-size amount of product to encourage as much movement as possible while also cutting air-dry time by up to 60 percent.

  Layer in Kenra Platinum Hydro Gel 13. Cassie likes this product because it has the hold of a gel, with the movement of water. It’s easy to work through damp hair, especially through the mids and ends for extra movement.

  Scrunch and shake out the hair as much as possible for more natural volume, then start to create loose braids within the interior. Keep low tension so the braid is nice and loose for a natural finish.

   

  Pro Tip: The size of subsections correlates with how much movement is desired. If she wants tighter waves, use smaller sections, and the opposite goes for larger waves.

  Continue braiding the hair, customizing the desired look by placing the braids asymmetrically and increasing or decreasing the number of braids.

   

  Pro Tip: Don’t secure the end of the braids with elastic. It’s okay if they unravel a little—it adds to the natural look!

  At the hairline, you have a choice to braid away from the face or toward the face depending on the desired result. Cassie directed the hairline braids backward.

  Allow to air-dry in the braids. When they are dry, your client can shake them out and enjoy her beach waves.
