Your Go-To Holiday Updo

Holiday updo season is upon us, and your soiree-loving client just sat in your chair and pulled out a picture of this ultra-voluminous sideswept chignon. HOW-TO STEPS

    Blow-dry the hair using a round brush.

    Curl the hair using a 1 ¼-inch curling iron. 

  • 3

    In a diagonal parting, clip in #3 and #4 8-Uptown Brown.

    Vertically going toward the back, clip in #5 and #6 9-She Thinks She’s Blonde.

    On the model’s left side, pin away a section from the top of the head to the middle of the ear.

  • 6

    Brush the rest of the hair into a ponytail behind the ear. Twist an elastic around the hair once, and as you pull the hair through, stop and make a loop with the hair and secure.

    Bobby pin hairs in place to create the side chignon. 

  • 8

    Sweep the top section over the forehead and use the ends to wrap around and hide the elastic.
