Known for her light-handed techniques, braids and natural-looking textures, Ashley keeps a lineup of R+Co stylers in her kit to shape and create with. “I like to work the hair people are naturally given,” dishes Ashley. “The R+Co products are so broad; there is a product for every hair texture and type which is key because everyone’s hair has different needs. I love the gritty, fashion-forward perspective of this brand, it encapsulates what I am as a hairdresser.”

Yes, she’s one of our favorite actresses to binge watch on Netflix but we’re mostly obsessing over Kiernan’s textured bob whether it’s perfectly waved, platinum or straight. “I love working with Kiernan and her cute short bob that I created for her,” shares Ashley. “We can go sleek and chic by blowing her out with HIGH DIVE Moisture + Shine Créme then flat-ironing her straight with some OUTER SPACE Flexible Hairspray. Not only is Ashley a total badass behind the chair, but she’s also the newest and first female member of The Collective—R+Co’s creative think tank of editorial stylists, artists and educators including icons Garren, Thom Priano and Howard McLaren. “They have my exact aesthetic—forward-thinking, collaborative and the product line itself is really cool, gritty and there’s something for everyone,” shares Ashley. “I am so honored to be working with Howard, Garren and Thom. They’re literally the hairdressers I’ve looked up to in the last 17 years of my career, and now I get to work with them and collaborate with them. I’m also the first woman on The Collective and one of the only California-based. It feels like a really nice fit and I’m super excited.”
