Show Steps
1
Start by creating vertical sections from the crown to the top of the ears. Apply Formula A to the hairline behind both ears, making sure to not touch the previously lightened hair.
Show Steps
2
Next, take fine horizontal sections at the nape. Comb the hair down and apply Formula A underneath the sections only. Continue working upwards until you reach the crown area.
Show Steps
3
Divide the hair along the front parting and apply Formula A. Continue to take vertical sections and apply the lightener until the head is finished. Let process and rinse.
Show Steps
4
Apply Formula B using the same sectioning as before. Start with a vertical parting from ear to ear, then apply the toner in horizontal sections at the nape.
Show Steps
5
Continue applying Formula B to the front parting and work in vertical sections through the side areas. Make sure to leave out the front hairline, because the hair is finer in that area and the final result will be darker if left on too long.
Show Steps
6
Once the roots reach the desired level, apply Formula B starting at the nape to the hairline. Then continue applying the toner to the mid lengths and ends. Let process. Once complete, use the back of the comb to remove a little product from the last section to see if an even blend has been achieved. Then rinse and style as desired.
