What can butter blonde clients expect from their appointment in terms of time and price?

“I actually only have one price for all my custom colors, so any curly cut and color is $650—but I include all treatments as needed to maintain curl integrity,” Savannah shares. From start to finish, this transformation took five hours.

What does maintenance look like for a butter blonde?

“I require my clients to use bonding products such as Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Shampoo and Conditioner paired with Biolage Bond Therapy Conditioning Foam for the first month to bring strength back,” Savannah shares. “Then, I bring in moisturizing products such as the All Soft haircare line from Redken.”

This is your reminder that educating clients about at-home care is essential: “I highly suggest making sure your client is ready at home with their products and knowledge. Being curly and blonde is a double whammy so I like to make sure they can take care of this intense process,” Savannah explains.

“They are my walking billboard and their hair needs to look good even though the growout process. If they aren’t interested in take-home products then I typically won’t commit to blonding them!” she adds.

When do you rebook butter blondes for maintenance appointments?

Savannah will have clients come in for a curly shape up and gloss three months after their initial appointment—then, six months after the initial appointment, she will perform a full lightening service and shape up.
