Calling all barbers: Wahl Professional is officially opening the Wahl Barber Academy in Chicago. This first-of-its-kind barber school is scheduled to open in Spring 2023 in partnership with Pivot Point Academy. The goal: To deliver a legacy of industry-firsts to the next generation of professional barbers through an elite barbering institution.

The secret to success: An interactive, well-rounded curriculum. 

“Education has always been a cornerstone of Wahl’s philosophy,” says Senior Vice President of Professional Sales and Marketing at Wahl Clipper Corporation Lance Wahl. “The opening of the Wahl Barber Academy furthers our commitment to providing the educational excellence needed to succeed in the barbering industry.”

And when Lance speaks to “education excellence,” he’s referring to Wahl Professional’s standard of setting students up for personal and professional success—the Wahl way. Through an extensive, hands-on curriculum, the Wahl Barbering Academy will prepare students to deliver Wahl-standard services at the highest levels in the industry.

“The Wahl Barber Academy was designed to create well-rounded, exceptional barbers,” says Managing Partner and Co-Owner of Pivot Point Academy Denise Provenzano. “The students will learn haircutting, shaving, grooming and basic skincare, along with the business skills necessary to prepare them to succeed in the men’s grooming industry.”

Licensed instructors & high-end training spaces seal the deal.

The award-winning team at Interworks Architecture is responsible for the modern-industrial 6,183-square foot educational space, built with an advanced training center designed to host educational opportunities for industry professionals and Wahl’s global team of educators. Classes will begin in Spring 2023—with guests able to sign up for hair and grooming appointments with students soon after!

The academy is located at 8501 W. Higgins Road near O’Hare International Airport—easily accessible from the CTA blue line. We’ll see you there!
