How Bees For Development Is Uplifting Communities

JPMS™ sources the beeswax used to create these formulas from West Africa, where bees can pollinate plants year-round, contributing to the area’s biodiversity and helping uphold their ecosystems. The beeswax is sustainably sourced, while also assisting local beekeepers in supporting their families and uplifting their communities.

The Bees for Development partnership will help transform the lives of over two hundred Ugandan people with disabilities, by educating and training their communities to achieve greater economic and social empowerment through beekeeping. According to Bees for Development, beekeeping allows income generation without destroying forests and other habitats. The organization has trained over five thousand beekeepers, focusing on locally appropriate skills and knowledge.
