Laura Harrier’s Cascading Waves

Start by prepping damp hair with Matrix Style Link Smooth Setter Smoothing Cream and Matrix Style Link Volume Builder Volume Mousse.

Create clean sections starting at the nape and then blow-dry the hair.

If desired, clip in hair extensions for added length and volume. Then, wave the hair by wrapping sections around a 1¾ curling iron, leaving the ends out.

Brush the hair out, then use a toothbrush to apply Matrix Style Link Shape Switcher Molding Paste on the hairline to lay the edges down.

Then, apply Matrix Style Link Super Fixer Strong Hold Gel on the front part of the hair to lay down any flyaways and smooth the hairline.

Once the hair is smooth, spray the hairline and front part of the hair with Matrix Style Link Style Fixer Finishing Hairspray and use a hair dryer on low speed and heat to set the hair. // Instagram via @jennifer_yepez

Note: Drying in the hairspray will ensure your style lasts from day to night.

To keep the hair in the back voluminous and soft, brush the hair out again and finish with Matrix Style Link Volume Fixer Volume Hairspray.
