Sola Salon Studios Celebrates 15th Anniversary!
Sola Salon Studios is celebrating it’s 15th anniversary this month! Since its inception in 2004, Sola has become the largest, fastest-growing salon studio business in the United States with over 450 locations and home to over 14,000 independent beauty professionals. Founded by Stratton Smith and Matt Briger, Sola Salon Studios has stayed true to its mission to inspire and support beauty professionals to experience the freedom of salon ownership.
By providing high-end, move-in ready salon studios, alongside educational resources and support tools, Sola Salon Studios empowers beauty professionals to live their dreams and elevate their careers. Since its inception, the brand has experienced high growth by developing programs and tools that puts the independent beauty professional first—from cutting-edge technology, to live Sola Sessions events, to a full range of marketing and business support. Sola has even recently expanded outside of the United States with international locations opening in Canada and Brazil.
“Being a Sola owner has given me so many opportunities that I could never have imagined. First, it has been a privilege and an honor to be the first Sola owner,” says Kim Bennett, owner of Kim Bennett Studios and Sola’s Culture Ambassador. “I have had a successful business that thrives, grows and evolves every year! Throughout the years, Sola has evolved right alongside me and my business, creating tools to better support my success. Sola Pro, Sola Sessions and SolaGenius have become apart of my business that I could never live without. It’s a true partnership with Sola!”
Before 2004 was over, ten additional Sola pros joined and are still part of the Sola community today. The amazing trailblazers include Amy Greenhouse, Vicki Campos, Elly Kinnaird, Victoria Jacobsen, Jaylane Long, Nicole Mayoros, James Mortlock, Tammy Turczyn and Brenda Ferguson.
Sola’s VP of Marketing and Education Jennie Wolff shared, “It’s truly amazing to see the evolution of the Sola brand since 2004 and more importantly, the growth of our community. Only four years ago we were celebrating the 5,000th Sola professional. Today, our community is made up of over 14,000 rock star salon owners and we could not be more proud. We look forward to empowering thousands of future independent salon owners in the years to come.”
