What Causes Hair Loss?
Scientifically speaking, hair loss occurs when there is a disruption in the hair’s natural growth cycle. A variety of things can cause this disruption in the people of all ages, not just your older clients. A few examples are:
- Illness or medication
- Vitamin D deficiency
Talking To Your Clients About Hair Loss
It can be awkward and uncomfortable to point out your client’s thinning hair—especially if you don’t have a close relationship—but it doesn’t have to be. When speaking to clients about hair loss, point out how aging brings about changes in the body—including the hair follicles—and there’s nothing to feel ashamed about. No one can opt out of getting older and hair loss is natural for everyone, even if society usually shows middle aged men going through the process.
Note: It’s so important to let clients know immediately when you start seeing signs of hair loss. On average a person can lose about 30 to 40 percent of their hair at once and it’s hard to reverse the process.
Do This To Start Reversing The Process
Many scientific studies have shown that the protein FGF5 is one of the leading causes of hair loss. évolis® Professional products are designed to slow or stop the production of FGF5 using natural botanical ingredients, so hair will start to growing back during the natural growth cycle. Clients who use évolis® products will start seeing less shedding and hair loss after 30 days. Around Day 60 to 90, the client will start to see their hairline improving.
Another sign of aging or hair loss are the hair follicles becoming dry and brittle, which leads to breakage. évolis® products help strengthen the hair, so it can withstand chemical and straightening processes without further damage. Your clients can eventually return to their normal styling routine with peace of mind.
