Henkel Beauty Care Professional Is Hosting The First 24-Hour Online Hair Festival

Henkel Beauty Care Professional is planning to break records next week with Hairdressers United, the very first 24-hour online hair festival, on Tuesday, May 5. More than 30 hair pros from 19 countries—that’s 13 different time zones—will be going live in 45-minute segments on a variety of educational topics to bring hairdressers together and raise money for the industry. Plus, our very own BTC Founder and Creative Director Mary Rector (@marybehindthechair) is one of the hosts! 

BTC is streaming the event live on YouTube and each hairstylist will be live streaming for 45 minutes to demonstrate their specialty. There will be live Q&A sessions to give participants the opportunity to ask questions to their favorite artists. 

Participating Brands:

The Henkel Beauty Care Professional family includes Schwarzkopf Professional, Authentic Beauty Concept, Joico, Indola, Kenra Professional, Sexy Hair, #MyDentity @guy_tang , PRAVANA and Alterna Haircare. Artists from each brand will be teaching a segment during the 24-hour livestream.

Schwarzkopf Professional hair artists include UK Ambassadors Lesley Jennison (@lesleyjennison) and Tyler Johnston (@tylerjohnstonhair), Brazil Ambassador Natan Correia (@natancorreia) and Spain’s X-presion Creative Team (@xpresioncreativos).

Hairdressers United is an online charity hair festival, aiming to provide hairdressers with another level of creative inspiration while also giving back to an industry in crisis. Any revenue will be given back to the beauty community, with a percentage matched up to $100k by Henkel and the Fritz Henkel Stiftung Foundation.

Regions will also have the opportunity to promote where the funds will go, whether that be a specific industry body that’s in need or the Red Cross or United Way. Plus, Henkel is also trying for the record of ‘longest online hair education seminar streamed over the internet’ title with GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™.
