CHI Expands Lava Collection With New Lava 2.0 Hairstyling Iron

CHI is expanding its Lava portfolio with the launch of the Lava 2.0 Hairstyling Iron. Building upon the original model’s technology, the next generation iron features CHI’s American ingenuity and hairdresser expertise combined with German engineering. The result is a state-of-the-art industrial design created with the power of high-performance German manufacturing practices, testing and research.

“It has been my dream to manufacture in Germany with the best engineers while still using American ingenuity and innovation to give hairdressers and clients the best quality tools possible,” explains Dr. Farouk Shami, Founder and Chairman of Farouk Systems. “After countless tests and prototypes, the CHI Lava 2.0 is the first of many new products we plan to create after purchasing Exonda Salon Tools GmbH, a leading international supplier of high-quality hairdressing tools that are ‘Made in Germany.'”

As a result, the Lava 2.0 Hairstyling Iron tool power has increased by 20 percent and the surface area of Lava has increased by 10 percent compared to the previous model. This brand-new ergonomic design features a touch sensitive display with 31 different heat settings and an incredible heat up time of just 40 seconds. The lava mineral floating plates produce ions every time the plate is heated, resulting in healthier hair, reduced frizz and amazing shine enhancement in one pass.

As with all of CHI’s Lava Ceramic Tools, this iron produces healthy heat, keeping the hair safe from the heat damage and haircolor preserved. Sourced from some of the most effective heat-conducting materials found on earth—volcanic lava combined with the power of CHI ceramic—the iron’s plates create smooth, sleek results without the use of high temperature settings.
