Watch: 2 Waving Quickies To Master Undone Texture
Watch & Learn: Lived-In Waves
LA cutter and salon owner Sal Salcedo (@salsalhair) is known for cutting cool-girl lobs and bobs on Cali babes, but he’s also mastered those undone, Insta-approved waves your clients are always asking about. Watch Sal’s waving technique below, then check out his steps for creating the look!
Get The Steps
- Directly after a blowout, take horizontal sections and curl the hair using a Hot Tools 1 1/4-inch curling iron. Curl each section from root to ends, but leave the ends out.
- Continue this pattern, alternating the direction of each wave. Allow to cool, then brush the curls out.
- Apply your favorite volumizing powder, finishing spray and use your fingers to break up the waves.
