Salon Mayan in Long Island Unveils Flagship Salon Concept 

 

Long Island salon owner, Ben Aharon, has a talented team, a successful salon and lives his life by a personal motto of pushing himself to be the best he can be. And when Ben was planning the launch of his second salon, he knew that it had to be truly unique. As it turns out, Ben’s personal life motto aligns perfectly with Matrix’s slogan of “Imagine All You Can Be.” When Ben launched his second salon, Salon Mayan, Matrix and Ben joined forces to open the first Matrix Inspiration Salon in the United States!

 

 

Matrix Inspiration Salon is a new salon concept that embodies the Matrix brand. “Matrix gives us everything we need to connect with existing and potential clients as well as overall support for our salon and staff,” exclaims Ben. “As a Matrix Inspiration Salon, I truly am ‘imagining all I can be!’ I’m really looking forward to continuing as part of the Matrix family, growing this salon and opening new locations in the future!”  

 


Matrix Color Bar
, situated in the center of the salon—creating a focal point for color consultations and expanding the color service options to offer your clients. As well, being the focal point of the salon, passersby have taken notice and Ben has seen his walk-in and referral business climb as a result. “For us, the Matrix Color Bar has taken color from something you rush around doing in the back room to an art form that you perform onstage,” explains Ben. “It has generated new levels of excitement plus increased our overall color business. Clients see it through the window and are instantly intrigued.”  

 

As well, many of Matrix’s top selling lines are for retail at Salon Mayan. With a 500 square foot space and floor to ceiling windows, Salon Mayan has optimized their space to make retail a key component of their business model. Inside, there are 8 foot tall branded imagery, product benefit strips on the edge of the shelves and numerous promotional displays. By having these displays, Salon Mayan staff has a much easier time showing their clients products and the benefits of each before they purchase. This technique is working with unbridled success—retail sales at Salon Mayan are up 200%!
