Golden Teddy Graham Blonde

Warm Teddy Bear Blonde Formula With Gold Undertones
Gold-toned blondes are all over our clients’ socials and Pinterest boards, transitioning the internet’s hair dreams from icy platinums to low-maintenance, sun-kissed brondes. This teddy bear blonde formula by OLAPLEX Ambassador Bianca Hillier (@biancacolour) is leading the charge. Here’s everything you need to know about recreating the look in your own salon.
Who is the ideal client for this look?
This natural-looking color is perfect for blonde clients who want to go slightly darker by switching up the tone, but still keep their blonde-grade, “expensive” brightness.
How long does this color take to apply and how long does it last?
The overall appointment time will vary depending on what your starting point is for each individual client. Bianca usually aims for about three hours: One hour for balayage application, 35 minutes for highlight processing, 30 minutes for toning and shampooing, and 10 minutes for an OLAPLEX No.2 Bond Perfector treatment with a blow-dry.
What does at-home care look like for this look?
To maintain the color, clients need to shampoo as little as possible. For curly-haired clients, moisturizing is especially critical. Bianca recommends using OLAPLEX No.6 Bond Smoother to define curls and reduce frizz for up to 72 hours—and to even cocktail it with OLAPLEX No.7 Bonding Oil for shine.
What does salon maintenance look like?
Teddy bear blonde is the perfect medium-to-low maintenance look, giving clients a lived-in color that isn’t too grungy. Bianca recommends curly clients come in for a refresh every six months; Straighter-haired clients should come in for a color update every four to five months.
Bianca also advises teddy bear blonde clients to book every six to nine weeks for a toning refresh to keep the color looking vibrant and shiny. Plus, doing this blends the new growth with the toner to prevent the hair from looking too grown out.
What type of hair is ideal for creating this look?
It’s most feasible to achieve a teddy bear blonde result on a base of Level 5 or higher, says Bianca. Lower levels will require much higher maintenance, look less natural and will need more work on the client’s behalf to look “done” on a daily basis.
What does pricing look like for this formula?
Bianca prices her service as a standard highlight, toner and treatment appointment. “Be sure to consult with your client before performing any services so there are no pricing surprises in the end,” she advises.
