Bleach. It’s a powerful tool that can lead to significant damage when placed in the wrong hands. At-home bleaching is seldom a good idea, as proven by this Insta showing one woman’s hair broken off in the front as a result of too much bleach.   • Formula A:

    1 part Wella Professionals ILLUMINA COLOR 7/ + 1 part 7/81 + 0.3 parts 6/ + 4.6 parts Wella Professionals Color Touch Emulsion 6-volume developer

  • Formula B:

    Wella Professionals BLONDOR + Wella Professionals Koleston Perfect 20-volume developer

  • Formula C:

    1 part Wella Professionals ILLUMINA COLOR 8/38 + 1 part 9/03 + 4 parts Wella Professionals Color Touch Emulsion 6-volume developer

FORMULA STEPS

1. Balayage with Formula A, applying through the base and midlengths only.

 

2. Apply Formula B and process for 20 minutes under low heat.

 

3. Rinse, then apply Wella Professionals Service Post Color Treatment. Rinse again and apply Formula C. “Because her hair was so porous, I only let this process for 3 minutes,” shares Kenzie.

 

4. Rinse, then apply Service Post Color Treatment again.
