The 23rd Alternative Hair Show, was held at London’s spectacular Royal Albert Hall on Sunday October 23rd in aid of Leukaemia Research.

Renaissance literally sparkled with creative genius- from Vidal Sassoon gracing the stage and holding captive the massive audience for a full 15 minutes to the the Vision Award where 10 hairdressers had the chance to show their artistry on one model with each showing exquisite hair and displaying a high regard for the total image that they created.

Anthony Mascolo, President of Alternative Hair, designed a highly successful charity event with sponsors Takara Belmont, Aston & Fincher, City & Guilds, Schwarzkopf Professional and Vision TV who all kindly offered financial sponsorship for the event; Bruno and Guy Mascolo also agreed to sponsor Alternative Hair Shows for the immediate future.

The evening was colorful and energetic highlighted by the very best of creative hairdressing from 15 top international teams including:  Vidal Sassoon, Robert Cromeans, Cutler NYC, Burlingtons, Sanrizz, Ales International, Lee Stafford, Michael Barnes, HOB, Laslo Hajas, Klaus Peter Ochs, Ulrich Graf, Patricia Grecht, Gandini, and Rizzos.  All teams very generously gave up their precious time and also funded their shows to benefit Leukaemia Research.

The total sum raised by this year’s show was in excess of £220,000 (approximately $390,000)
