The Sixties were crucial years of transformation for fashion, music, the arts and the whole concept of hair. It was the time of the Mary Quant’s miniskirt revolution, the explosion of the Beatles phenomenon, the concept of destructurization in art with the success of pop-art and the famous bob by Vidal Sassoon. At the time it was nothing less than a revolution for the haircare industry, as the soft, cloudy style was replaced by a more definite line, which from that moment on became the starting point for millions of hairdressers. The individualism and creativity of that time left its mark and defined an ageless style that has become “classic”.

Enter “New Classic”, the Davines Spring/Summer collection designed by Giovanni and Massimo Di Stefano, creators of London-based Propaganda Hair. A new, revised version of some of the basic techniques of the Sixties, with cuts and colors suited to today’s more rapid, versatile lifestyles. The styles are simple and elegant, in different lengths and shapes, with different degrees of layering combined with transparent colors, from warm chestnut to chocolate, to light brown. “New Classic” reflects the image of a woman who is meticulous and exacting in her choices, characterized by a pure, natural, timeless style.
