How-To: Face-Framing Burst Of Blonde

1. Start by weaving ultra-fine, back-to-back slices around the hairline.

2. Then, apply lightener all the way up to the face for a naturally sun-kissed look. Besides the money piece section, Justin recommends not painting all the way to the root to avoid stripey highlights and harsh outgrowth.

3. After all the money piece foils are complete, take the remaining hair and weave out fine sections and backcomb for teasylights.

4. Apply lightener with 20-volume developer and Olaplex No.2 to the ends, then scrunch the foils and process.

5. At the shampoo bowl, paint the baby hairs for extra brightness around the hairline. Tap the root and hairline with a translucent gloss and gently comb through, but avoid applying toner from mids to ends for a raw, California blonde effect. Click HERE for the color formulas!

Pro Tip: Still working on the money piece section while other foils (in the back and sides) are ready? Pull the foils and apply Olaplex No.2 to these isolated sections to stop the lightening process.
