KEVIN.MURPHY Debuts First Color Line!
Kevin Murphy, or as you’ll recognize him—KEVIN.MURPHY, is venturing out into the big beautiful world of color. The line’s first foray into color, COLOR.ME, will be hitting salons come May 2015! Offering 74 honey-based shades, colorists now gain the ability to mix shades to create truly customizable semi, demi or permanent colors that result in a natural, multi-tonal look with a glossy finish.
In developing this line, Kevin wanted the focus to be on three new technologies—Molecular Couple Guarantee, Oxidation Delay Function and Special Micro Pigments. His first and foremost concern was developing a line that would lessen the chance of potential skin irritation or allergic reactions. That’s why they developed the Molecular Couple Guarantee—a precise counting method that assures the coloring molecules form tight bonds, thereby lessening the chance of adverse reactions to a formula.
With the Oxidation Delay Function, color can be more evenly applied promising for far better coverage! When you couple COLOR.ME with CREAM.ACTIVATOR, you create the perfect solution for gray coverage clients! This ensures up to 4 levels of lift! If that wasn’t enough, the Special Micro Pigments adds small but powerful bits of color to the hair that truly pack a punch! These pigments penetrate and burrow deep within the follicles to ensure the hair looks healthy, shiny and gets that glossy finish to it.
As with all KEVIN.MURPHY products, focus on natural, reparative ingredients was a must. “We look at the coloring process as a treatment for the hair. The colors in our line are PPD-free, ammonia-free and full of naturally-derived ingredients including Shea Butter, honey and pomegranate,” says Kevin.
