The 2022 Version

We gathered three new, chic ways to incorporate the pouf back into this year’s trend styling. Whether your clients are looking for a low-maintenance special event style or something with a fun twist, we have all the inspo below.

Check out TikTok star @addisonre posting her pouf by Kiley Fitzgerald (@bykileyfitz) saying, “Bring back poufs.”

1. Added Volume To A Slick Look

We’ve spotted several celebs taking their sleek red carpet looks and adding volume near the hairline. To recreate these looks, you’ll need a smoothing spray and a small dense-bristle brush to tame every little flyaway.

2. Accentuating Natural Texture

Clients with natural texture are perfect for this style because their curls and coils do all the work! Grab a pomade or working spray to hold natural texture in place without adding heat for extra volume.

3. Pouf’d Crown + Face-Framing Tendrils

A romantic spin on the 2000s style. Instead of adding volume near the hairline, use face-framing pieces to soften the look and add the volume at the crown.
