Shauky Gulamani Launches LIFE Marketing Group
After 33 years as a successful and forward-thinking hairdresser and executive leading many of the professional salon industry’s top beauty companies, Shauky Gulamani is embracing his entrepreneurial side with the launch of LIFE Marketing Group. With his reputation for creating pioneering tools and products, and a unique new business model, LIFE Marketing seeks to bring an entirely new level of innovation and profit to stylists and distributors.
According to Shauky, he has partnered with an experienced manufacturing facility and a team of engineers and research and development experts, all of which will enable his team to create one-of-a-kind tools, and offer them at better prices. “Because I’m essentially the manufacturer, we believe this will truly expand the potential for tool sales in salons, giving stylists and salon owners the ability to compete with existing tool retailers and as well as exciting new opportunities for profit,” he says. “LIFE stands for Luxury Innovation for Everyone. - BEYOND™: style and smooth without touching the hair
The BEYOND™ is a styling and smoothing tool that conditions the hair, leaving it feeling as healthy and soft as virgin strands. The secret is a detachable silicone sheath that covers its unique honeycombed charcoal and ceramic plates. The smooth-gliding sheath prevents the plates from ever touching the hair, while the plate fabrication itself provides superior moist, ionized heat that seals the cuticle and helps replenish moisture while nourishing and conditioning the hair. Because the plates float over the hair, preventing strands from heating up, the 1 ¼-inch iron can be used on wet or dry hair without risk of steaming or sizzling. LIFE Marketing Group has been granted seven patents on the BEYOND™ Styling Iron.
- MAGNUM™: battery-operated clipper with adjustable guards
“I travel the world,” says Shauky, “and on one of my trips, I plugged in my clipper and it blew up because it didn’t have dual voltage. So I decided to create a portable, powerful clipper/trimmer that didn’t need electricity.” The result is MAGNUM™, the first battery-operated clipper that provides all the benefits of a conventional clipper. MAGNUM™ offers 150 hours of power with a single AA battery and a stationary guard with five settings—to create everything from a shadowed look to a perfect trim. “Guards are like socks,” Shauky says. “They always seem to disappear.
